Pollinator Waypoints

Beyond Conservation: Building Pollinator Infrastructure Across Louisiana

Louisiana may be one of the most biologically connected regions in the Gulf South.
The Mississippi River spine, Gulf wetlands, prairie drift systems, and migratory flyways all overlap here (Influencing how species move, refuel, reproduce, and respond to environmental change).
When these pathways fragment, ecosystems become less resilient.
This is about connectivity.
Conservation is no longer only about protecting isolated spaces.
It’s about reconnecting the systems ecosystems depend on.
Connected ecosystems are resilient ecosystems.
